Imagine a warm Sunday in East London. A fresh and home made lemonade on one hand, a big bunch of tulips on the other one and a singer with her guitar in the background. Imagine to walk in a tiny road surrounded by the most beautiful and colourful flowers. The man of the peonies is shouting One bunch for tena! and you’re looking for the perfect plant to brighten up that empty corner in your living room. Every time I go to Columbia Road flower market I can’t resist the temptation to bring with me the taste of that walk: eucalyptus, lavender and hortensia. If you never been there you truly need to experience that atmosphere. I’m sure you’ll love getting lost in the little roads around the market, drinking a coffee in the sun, stop at the pub for a Sunday Roast and shopping for some vintage too.
Las Sunday I had with me the perfect tote bag for flowers’ shopping and a colourful cross body from Mahala store, both handcrafted by Emily from up-cycled military canvases and leather.
I hope that this post and pictures will give you a little taste of this magic area of Hackney! Sending you much love as always.
