I wait impatiently the whole year for August to arrive. The most bitter-sweet month. I can’t wait for it but at the same time I don’t want it to arrive.
August means heat; lying in the sun having naps and reading my summer books. It’s the hot sand under my feet; it’s an endless beach and a quiet sea. August is also my birthday month; it’s my family and friend time. It’s the time for chocolate, multi-layered cakes and laughs. Time for some tears too because when I analyse it, I get emotional! August is also the month of hope for all the Londoners craving that one and last barbecue. Back to school is ever closer and I remember how much I used to hate everything about it, apart from the brand new pencil set and diary. Love the smell of new stationary.
Luckily, I’m too old for the back to school scenario. Instead, I had a pretty traumatic return to work! I had to face great changes but every change is a start and an opportunity to discover more about yourself.
I walked through Summer and embraced Autumn, pushed by a fresh breeze and wearing the amazing AnotherEight collection. The suede cobalt culottes, a couple of white shirts and few coats with loads of personality, was everything I needed to strut confidently in the direction of my new adventures.
